CEN and CENELEC Workshop on ‘Digital Product Passport for Printed Circuit Boards’

CEN and CENELEC is organizing a workshop in connection to a CWA that establishes a common view on how a Digital Product Passport (DPP) for Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) should be structured and which data are necessary to develop circularity in electronics.

The development of a CWA on Digital Product Passport for Printed Circuit Boards is proposed as there is the need to define the type of data to be embedded in a DPP for PCBs. As consensus-based guidelines the CWA will establish a common view on how a DPP for PCBs should be structured and which kind of data are mandatory to really allow and apply circular approaches in electronics.

The planned CWA is intended to be used by policymakers, manufacturers, industry associations, experts, recyclers; research institutes, … and will be drafted during the CIRC-UITS project timeframe, that ends in 31-12-2025.

The virtual kick-off meeting will be held on 20th January 2025. People interested to participate in the kick-off meeting can register using the form below.

All interested parties are invited to submit comments on the draft Project Plan using the commenting form and sending it directly to the Workshop secretary, Sarah KÖHLER (by January 10th, 2024.
